Three Things You Should Know:

  • Nearly 1 in 5 South Africans between the ages of 15 and 49 are living with HIV*
  • R100 looks after one sick person once a week for a month
  • R75 Feeds a Family of Four for a week

Many people in our townships suffer from various diseases and illnesses. These illnesses, often AIDS or HIV related, are debilitating, leaving the sick unable to work to provide for themselves or their families. Often, they are too weak to even wash themselves or prepare their own meals.

Without assistance these people are left to a miserable fate. However, with some care and assistance, many can be nursed back to a healthy lifestyle. Beyond Education seeks to meet this need. We have a team of dedicated home-based carers from the community who help those in desperate situations in Du Noon. These Home-Based Care Givers come alongside those who need help the most, and provide them with medical assistance, sanitary care, and meals on a daily basis

———————— Donations ————————

We are currently seeking to grow our Home-Based Care team to have a greater impact in the community. We are also raising funds to send our home-based care givers for nurse training to better equip them to meet the medical needs they face on a daily basis, thus providing better care for those who need it. Finally we are seeking to equip the home-based care givers with enough basic medical supplies to be able to effectively care for people. These supplies include simple items such as disinfectants, bandages, nappies for the incontinent and more.

We ensure that 100% of your donation will go directly to paying care giver’s salaries, purchasing supplies and funding training.
